I am in the process of creating a "Girlfriends" book for the Artful Gathering this summer. I've been working on it for over a month now and am getting close to completion. As soon as I can find my waxed linen I will be sewing into a gutted book the mostly already decorated signatures. Here is a page that I've been working on - not yet tweaked but it's beginning to take shape.

I love my blog but don't seem to be keeping it up as I should. I've resolved today to begin anew. I am also going to check out some new "challenge" sites and get involved again!
Last Friday I held a play day at my house and four of us created a bit of art. We decided to each alter 4 square coasters and trade them out to create a small book. Here is one of the coasters I decorated:
I've also created a "red bird" for a lottery in a group I belong to - he has a black wing:
I also created an Easter Row House - a few months ago I created so many of these houses - I love creating them but I have soooooooo many of them lying around. My other play day guests decided they already had enough row houses and chose not to make more.

I've been so "away" from my blog for the past 2 weeks - I adore my blog and have begun to feel so badly for not taking care of it. Hopefully that will change with this post!
I was in a 14 Days of Valentines Swap and thoroughly enjoyed that. I hope to be able to post the goodies I received this coming week. I was also a participant in One World One Heart - over 800 participants, and I simply did not have the time to visit many of the other blogs. I hope to mail out my gifties to the winners tomorrow.
I held a Texas Art Retreat last weekend and it was well attended and everyone had lots of fun. I'll try to post pictures of the make & takes I provided. There were some good good friends there and we all created our own art, worked on things we needed to complete for some swaps. I got quite a lot done. I am in an Easter Egg swap and finished my eggs while there and also created a couple of Easter Hangie Danglies.
This little Easter hangie danglie will have some "eggs" added to it and be given to one of my girlie girls. And here are some of the Easter eggs:
